When I try and batch import from an Exchange, say the Amex, it asks if I want to import 1304 symbols, I say yes, it does it's thing and then shows a giant error message that says the symbols couldn't be imported.  It happens when I try and import 1 symbol or 1000 in this add symbols manner.

Please help.

Thanks.

chatiots19, welcome to the forum.

Before using the Adding from a Ticker List functionality, you need to set default symbol properties you wish to be used for the imported symbol list, such as Data source (say, eSignal), Periodicity (say, 1 minute), etc.

For this:  Data Manager > Add New > in the Add New Symbol dialog box, select the parameters you need and click Save as default > click Cancel

Please uncheck the Update added symbol check box  before clicking OK in the Add Symbol from a Ticker List dialog.

Which data provider you're using with Tradecision?

Thanks, that worked perfectly.  Is there a way to import OTC stocks as a list of symbols?

Thanks,
David

David,

It’s just great that everything is up & running.

If you want to add a group of symbols which is now not available as a built-in ticker list, email your request at support@tradecision.com providing a plain list of the symbols you need and, shortly, we will create a new ticker to be used in Data Manager.

Example of such a list:

OTC stocks
Aaa
Bbb
Ccc
